Phase One of our Neighbor Project Roadmap
🎨🎨🎨 Phase One: Designing the Neighborhood (Q3 2022 - Q2 2023)
At 50% Mint Sold - We will purchase in the metaverse and start the design of the learn-to-earn platform for our members to learn the mechanics of real estate investment and property management. In addition, as we develop the land into a learn-to-earn model, we launch our own token $ESSENTIAL that will be stakeable and will be used for further purchases in our Metaverse. We will purchase tokens in the metaverse we build our platform that will be airdropped monthly for our community by holding their NFT and stake NFT worlds for rewards for our community wallet.
At 80% Mint Sold - We will start the process of purchasing our 1st multi-family home.
At 100% Mint Sold - We will start the process of purchasing 4 multi-family homes (5 in total) with our Neighbor Model. Our first year will be focused on buying, renovating, and partnering with local businesses to market our units to their employees. We will also start to market a few of our units (30%) online (Airbnb and booking.com) and with digital nomad community partners.
Once all 5 multi-family homes are purchased and renovated, we will launch a marketing program for our holders where our holders can earn .0125% airdropped rewards per NFT owned for marketing our short-term units on Twitter and Instagram. We will be creating the templates and ask for you to be our Guerilla Marketers to amplify our mission.
One month after mint sellout - We will launch community rewards where our members will vote on how we will use 25% of our monthly secondary funds in scaling our mission. Monthly proposal options are designed by our community and can could include:
Funding more NEIGHBOR real estate
Investing in local businesses near NEIGHBOR properties
Airdropping rewards in ETH or USD coins to our community and purchasing/ staking more NFT worlds
Purchasing bitcoin mining rigs and installing them near our NEIGHBOR buildings
Donating to non-profits that are solving anti-poverty and universal based income
Upskill training for our residents to get remote work
** At 500 Ethereum of secondary sales, we will form a Community Club which will focus on creating a proposal process for our community bank to ensure we are creating inclusive ways for every holder to be heard and for every decision to be transparent.
e. Secondary Sales Model - We will take a 10% royalty from secondary sales to fund our mission. The sales will go towards the following:
35% Team Operations & Product Development
25% Community Bank Wallet
40% Real Estate Development & Operations
We've also started to design our Phase Two. It's still in draft mode and we expect it to evolve depending on community engagement. We'd like to share with our community as we're hoping our community will be involved in the co-creation process.
Phase Two: Constructing the Neighborhood built for all (Q2 2023 and beyond)
1. Neighbor Real Estate:
We will use 60% of our operating profits to purchase and reinvest in more real estate to fulfill our mission. Our goal is to help over 10,000 minimum wage workers access affordable housing in 10 years. Here are some of the criteria we’re looking at as we’re scouting locations for the next Neighbor buildings:
It's more expensive to rent than own in the long term. The current average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is more than 60% of a minimum wage worker's monthly salary.
For individuals living in the city/town, current income makes it difficult to save for a down payment
Large minimum wage population in the neighborhood
High tourism in the area: seasonal events, festivals, and concerts
Near points of interest include national parks, museums, etc
Remote workers are currently working there for business/leisure trips
2. Neighbor Learn-to-Earn Game:
Our community holders will be utilizing our game to learn introductory skills in real estate. Here are some of our current thoughts:
Scaling Financial Education to scale economic freedom - Once 75% of our holders have completed the initial phase of our game, we will unlock more mechanics which could include partnerships with play-to-earn platforms, Metaverse merch, and more utilization of the $ESSENTIAL TOKEN.
At 90% adoption from our collectors, we will launch our learn-to-earn model for our residents. If there’s interest, residents who have completed the program are invited to be property managers of our NEIGHBOR properties.
We will launch a lease-to-own model for any completed learn-to-earn participant to be part of our real estate program. More details once we’ve secured 50 NEIGHBOR buildings.
In addition, any holder who completes the learn-to-earn module will also earn free days staying at our short-term residences and an exclusive discount for staying more than 3 days. This benefit will launch when we have secured at least 25 Neighbor buildings.
3. Launch NEIGHBOR Globally with G1 NFT Collection
Launch G1 collection and build a housing research team: Once we have secured over 50 NEIGHBOR Buildings through our G0 collection, we will launch outside of the U.S. in helping to solve the systematic global housing issues. In order to solve this effectively, we will create a research team with holders and advisors to holistically solve housing through the cultural and economic nuances of the communities we’re hoping to impact. Our research team will create proposals for our community to vote for new scouting locations.
4. Membership Voting driving our Community Impact
We will scale our community rewards to drive more impact and rewards for our holders and residents (online and in-person). Our vision at scale powers our mission to be a platform for others to solve affordable housing in neighborhoods across the world. The platform that drives that change will be a mass-scale inclusive group voting process that gives our community power to decide through proposals.
